In June of 2002, Tammy moved to Florida with her daughter Kelsey and opened her 1st restaurant south of Tallahassee. In 2003, Tammy opened a second restaurant in The Villages, which is where she met Chris. Tammy had asked around for a good single act to perform at her restaurant and was given Chris’s number. She called to hire him to play at her restaurant the opening week. Tammy says she fell in love with Chris the moment they shook hands and met for the first time. They were married the next year.
Tammy eventually sold the restaurants and the Wonder Wash Car Wash, which she was running at the time, and took a job as the House Manager for the Rialto Theatre which allowed her daughters to attend the charter schools at the time and provided health insurance for their new family. Tammy has been the Manager of the Rialto theatre for the past three years. Tammy gave birth to her second daughter, Mia Kai Merrell, on August 9, 2005. For the past several months, Tammy has spent countless hours studying research on cancer cures worldwide and setting up a protocol to cure Chris’s cancer. When she is not working or busy with the three girls, you will usually see Tammy enjoying Chris’s music wherever he plays.
